Original Cristiano Ronaldo shirts
No player has worn as many iconic shirts as Cristiano Ronaldo. The red of Manchester United with AIG on the chest, the white of Real Madrid, the black and white of Juventus and the red of Portugal: every Cristiano Ronaldo shirt belongs to a different chapter of his career. In this collection you'll find original Ronaldo shirts from all of those eras, with CR7 on the back.
Manchester United (2003-2009): Ferguson, Vodafone and AIG
In the summer of 2003 Sporting Lisbon played a friendly against Manchester United to open their new stadium. The 18-year-old Ronaldo was so impressive that the United players urged Sir Alex Ferguson to sign him straight after the game. Days later he did. Ronaldo asked for the number 28, but Ferguson handed him the 7: the shirt of George Best, Eric Cantona and David Beckham.
In his first years Ronaldo wore the Nike shirt with Vodafone on the front, alongside Ruud van Nistelrooy, Roy Keane, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes. In 2004 he scored the opening goal in the FA Cup final. From 2006 a new sponsor arrived: AIG. For many fans that is the Ronaldo shirt. With Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tévez, Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidić, Patrice Evra and Edwin van der Sar, United won three league titles in a row. The peak was 2007/2008: Ronaldo scored 42 goals, headed United in front in the Champions League final against Chelsea in Moscow, which they won on penalties, and then won his first Ballon d'Or. A 2008 Manchester United Ronaldo shirt is one of the most sought-after shirts in our store. In 2021 he returned to Old Trafford one last time, then in the Adidas shirt with TeamViewer on the front. Real Madrid (2009-2018): bwin, Fly Emirates and four Champions Leagues
In 2009 Ronaldo joined Real Madrid for a world-record fee, and the Bernabéu was packed for his presentation. Because Raúl still wore the 7, Ronaldo spent his first season in #9, which makes a 2009/2010 Real Madrid Ronaldo shirt instantly recognisable. The sponsor then was bwin; from 2013 it became Fly Emirates.
Under José Mourinho, Real won the 2012 title with a record 100 points. Under Carlo Ancelotti came La Décima in 2014, the tenth Champions League, after a final in Lisbon against Atlético Madrid. With Zinédine Zidane as coach, Real then won three Champions Leagues in a row (2016, 2017 and 2018). In 2016 Ronaldo scored the winning penalty in Milan, and in 2017 he scored twice in the final against Juventus. Alongside him played Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Luka Modrić, Toni Kroos and the 'BBC' front three: Bale, Benzema and Cristiano. With 450 goals in 438 games he became the club's all-time top scorer. Juventus (2018-2021): from a bicycle kick to Turin
In April 2018 Ronaldo scored an overhead kick against Juventus in Turin, and the Juve fans stood up to applaud. A few months later he signed for them. In the Adidas shirt with Jeep on the front he won Serie A twice, played alongside Paulo Dybala, Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and Gianluigi Buffon, and finished as Italy's top scorer in 2021. The Ronaldo Juventus shirt with #7 is one of the best-selling shirts in our store. See our other Juventus shirts.
Portugal: from #17 to captain and European champion
At Euro 2004 on home soil, the 19-year-old Ronaldo still wore #17. Portugal lost the final to Greece and Ronaldo left the pitch in tears. After Luís Figo retired he took the 7, and later the captain's armband. In 2016 came redemption: in the Euro final against France in Paris, Ronaldo went off injured early but coached from the touchline in extra time until Éder scored the winner.
