From Basel and Chelsea to Italy

Salah broke through in Europe at FC Basel, where in 2013 and 2014 two goals against Chelsea caught the eye of José Mourinho. In 2014 he signed for Chelsea, but got little playing time. In Italy he rediscovered his form, first on loan at Fiorentina and then at AS Roma. Under Luciano Spalletti he played there alongside Francesco Totti, Daniele De Rossi and Edin Džeko, in the Nike shirt with #11. Liverpool: Klopp, Mané, Firmino and #11

In 2017 Jürgen Klopp brought him to Liverpool. In his first season Salah scored 32 Premier League goals, then a record for a 38-game season, and Liverpool reached the Champions League final in Kyiv. Together with Sadio Mané and Roberto Firmino he formed one of the best front lines in Europe, with Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker, Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson behind him. In the New Balance shirt with Standard Chartered on the chest, Liverpool won the 2019 Champions League in Madrid against Tottenham, with a Salah penalty after two minutes. A year later came the first league title in thirty years. From 2020 Liverpool played in Nike. In 2025 Liverpool were champions again under Arne Slot, with Salah as top scorer and player of the season. Egypt: the king of Africa

For Egypt, Salah wears the 10 and the captain's armband. In 2017 he fired his country to the 2018 World Cup, Egypt's first World Cup since 1990, with a last-minute penalty against Congo. With Egypt he reached the Africa Cup of Nations final in 2017 and 2021. To millions of fans in Egypt and beyond, he is a hero.
