Ronaldo Nazário shirts

Original Ronaldo Nazário shirts (R9)

For many fans there is only one real Ronaldo: Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima, better known as Ronaldo Nazário, R9 or 'Il Fenomeno'. In the late 90s and early 2000s he was the best striker in the world, with a speed and technique nobody could match. In this collection you'll find original Ronaldo Nazário shirts from his years with Brazil, Inter and Real Madrid.

PSV (1994-1996): the world discovers Ronaldo in Eindhoven

Few people outside the Netherlands remember it, but Ronaldo made his European breakthrough in Eindhoven. As a 17-year-old he moved from Cruzeiro to PSV in 1994, playing in the red and white shirt with Philips on the front. In his first season he was the Eredivisie's top scorer with 30 goals.

Barcelona (1996-1997): one season, 47 goals

At FC Barcelona he played just one season, under Bobby Robson with a young José Mourinho as assistant. Even so, Ronaldo scored 47 goals in 49 games. His solo run against Compostela, beating half the team from the halfway line, is still one of the best-known goals in the club's history. He won the Cup Winners' Cup by scoring a penalty in the final at De Kuip in Rotterdam.

Inter (1997-2002): from #10 to #9

In 1997 Inter brought him to Milan for a world-record fee. In the Umbro shirt with Pirelli on the front he won the 1998 UEFA Cup (scoring in the final against Lazio) and his first Ballon d'Or. A nice detail for collectors: in his first season Ronaldo wore #10, because Iván Zamorano had the 9. A year later Zamorano gave up his number and wore '1+8' instead. After that Ronaldo lost almost two seasons to serious knee injuries. A Ronaldo Inter shirt from these years is a true classic. Browse all Inter shirts.

Brazil: from the drama of 1998 to world champion in 2002

At the 1994 World Cup the 17-year-old Ronaldo was already in Brazil's squad, but didn't play a minute. Four years later he was the big star, until he fell ill on the day of the final against France. He played, but Brazil lost 3-0. After his knee injuries he made one of the greatest comebacks in sport in 2002: with eight goals he was top scorer at the World Cup in Japan and South Korea, including both goals in the final against Germany. That same year he won his second Ballon d'Or. At the 2006 World Cup his fifteenth World Cup goal made him the tournament's all-time top scorer. A Brazil Ronaldo shirt from 1998, 2002 or 2006 belongs in every collection. All shirts of the country in Brazil football shirts.

Real Madrid (2002-2007): the Galácticos

After the 2002 World Cup Ronaldo joined Real Madrid, forming the Galácticos with Zinédine Zidane, Luís Figo, Raúl, Roberto Carlos and later David Beckham. In his first season he wore #11, then his trusted 9 again. In 2003 he scored a hat-trick at Old Trafford and received a standing ovation from the United fans when he was substituted. In 2003 he won the Spanish title with Real. A Real Madrid Ronaldo shirt from these years has the Adidas logo and Siemens on the front.
