VfB Stuttgart Shirts

VfB Stuttgart shirts: white with the red chest band

VfB Stuttgart traditionally play in white with a red band across the chest, known in Germany as the Brustring. The club from Bad Cannstatt plays its home games at the stadium on the Neckar, today called the MHPArena. In this collection you'll find original VfB Stuttgart shirts, mostly from the 90s.

The magic triangle of the 90s

In the mid-90s Stuttgart had one of Germany's best attacks with Krassimir Balakov, Giovane Élber and Fredi Bobic, the magisches Dreieck. The coach was Joachim Löw, who later became Germany's national team manager. In 1997 VfB won the DFB-Pokal 2-0 against Energie Cottbus, with both goals from Élber. A year later the club reached the Cup Winners' Cup final, losing 1-0 to Chelsea.

Adidas, Südmilch and Göttinger Gruppe

In the 90s VfB played in Adidas. Up to and including 1996/97 dairy company Südmilch was on the front, from 1997/98 the Göttinger Gruppe and from 1999 telecom company Debitel. That makes the VfB Stuttgart shirt from 1997/98, the first season with Göttinger Gruppe, easy to recognise. Later sponsors included EnBW and Mercedes-Benz Bank, and in 2021/22 and 2022/23 the shirts were made by Jako.

Five-time German champions

Stuttgart were German champions in 1950, 1952, 1984 under Helmut Benthaus, 1992 under Christoph Daum and 2007 under Armin Veh. In 2025 the club won the DFB-Pokal again under Sebastian Hoeneß, beating Arminia Bielefeld 4-2.
